We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

• Name and email address submitted via our contact form
• Business details shared during a discovery call or email exchange
• Usage data collected automatically (pages visited, browser type, device) via Vercel Analytics

We do not collect sensitive personal data such as financial information, health records, or government identifiers.

We use the data we collect to:

• Respond to enquiries and book discovery calls
• Deliver and improve our services to clients
• Understand how our website is used (aggregated analytics only)
• Meet our legal and contractual obligations

We do not sell your data to third parties.

Under UK GDPR, we process your data on the following grounds:

• Legitimate interests — responding to enquiries and improving our services
• Contract — fulfilling our obligations to clients
• Legal obligation — where required by law

We retain contact form submissions for up to 24 months. Client project data is retained for the duration of the engagement plus 7 years for tax and legal purposes. You can request deletion at any time.

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

• Resend — for processing contact form submissions
• Vercel — website hosting and analytics
• Cal.com — booking discovery calls
• Apollo.io — B2B sales intelligence (used internally)
• Meta (Instagram) — comments and direct messages on Instagram accounts we operate (see below)
• Neon — database hosting for our internal tools, in the UK (London region)

Each provider is bound by their own privacy policies and, where applicable, data processing agreements with us.

We operate Instagram Business accounts for ourselves and our clients, and use an internal tool, Snag Studio, to reply automatically to comments on those accounts’ posts.

Account owners. When you connect an Instagram account to Snag Studio through Instagram business login, we store your account ID, username, name, profile picture and an access token, encrypted at rest. We use them only to list your posts and to send the replies you configure. We keep them until you disconnect the account in Snag Studio or ask us to delete them; disconnecting deletes the token, your reply rules and their history at once.

People who comment.If you comment on a post that a Snag Studio rule watches, we receive your comment’s text, your Instagram user ID and your username from Meta. We use them to send you one direct message and, where set up, one public reply, and to record whether that happened. We do not read your other messages, follow you, or contact you again. These records are kept while the account they relate to stays connected, and are deleted when it is disconnected.

Where it is stored. Snag Studio runs on Vercel and stores data in a Neon Postgres database in the UK (London region). Meta processes comments and messages under its own terms.

Deleting your data. Email joseph@snagdigital.co.uk with your Instagram username and the request “delete my Instagram data”. We will delete every record about you within 30 days and confirm by email. You can also remove our app from Instagram under Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request erasure of your data
• Object to processing based on legitimate interests
• Lodge a complaint with the ICO (ico.org.uk)
